Green Motion Car Hire in Finland Continues Its Drive for Expansion

The Green Motion car rental master country franchise for Finland, which was launched in 2015, is continuing to go from strength to strength. The low CO2 car rental franchise system began with the launch of its flagship car hire location supporting  ​Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport in July 2015.1

The opening of Helsinki was quickly followed by the opening of sub-franchised car hire locations at ​Kemi Tornio Airport,  ​Kuopio Airport, ​Tampere–Pirkkala Airport,  ​Rovaniemi Airport, ​Kemi Railway Station,  ​Kuopio Downtown, ​Rovaniemi Railway Station and  ​Tampere Downtown.

Today the Chairman of Green Motion Finland, Petri Vanhanen, formally announced that his drive to make the Green Motion car hire brand one of the strongest within the Finnish daily rental market continues with a confirmation of a further 3 locations opening in the next few months; these including Ivalo which is located in the municipality of Lapland and known for its winter sports, Kajaani which is situated in the heart of central Finland and Oulu which is located in Northern Finland.

The founder and Chairman of Green Motion, Richard Lowden, said, "The job that Petri and his co-business partner, Outi Takala are doing in promoting and expanding the Green Motion brand within Finland is truly staggering, with them managing to open 9 locations in less than 12 months."
