Green Motion Car Rental opens in St Maarten in the Caribbean

Green Motion St Maarten is owned and operated by rent-a-car entrepreneur, Dudley Wijesiriwardana.

Franchise Development Director, Brenda Azua commented, “I am very proud and excited for the opening of the first Green Motion location in the Caribbean, I am certain that Saint Maarten’s team will surpass our customers’ expectations in terms of first class service, and that we will be seeing them going back many times to the ‘Friendly Island’”.

On this island, your limits are the sky in one direction and the bottom of the sea in the other.

Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the Caribbean Sea to the west, and sited 150 miles southeast of Puerto Rico, the unique dual-nation island of Saint Martin/Sint Maarten is just over nine miles long and eight miles across at its widest. Towns on the French side still retain a distinct French flavour but are fused with West Indian charm; seafront cafés could well have been uprooted from the south of France, and some bakeries are typically French. Apart from two “welcome” signs, “Bienvenue en Partie Française” and “Welcome to Dutch Sint Maarten, N.A”, there is no visible border between French Saint Martin and Dutch Sint Maarten but it’s clear once the border into the Dutch half has been crossed: street signs change from French to Dutch, low-rise boutique hotels are replaced by high-rise blocks, and that French je ne sais quoi is noticeably missing.

Days filled with sunshine, warm nights and breathtaking scenery are only some of the ingredients that create the unique feel and taste that reflects St Maarten.

Upon your arrival at Princess Juliana Airport, simply make your way to the Green Motion car rental booth in the Arrivals Hall. A Green Motion car hire representative will assist you to the shuttle transfer area outside of the Arrivals Hall. The free shuttle service is provided to and from the airport 7 days a week.
