New Tech Company Delivers Healthcare Services Via Smartphone

EZ-4-U members will never again struggle to get timely, as-needed access to a healthcare provider for professional medical guidance on illnesses, injuries and ongoing health conditions.

The EZ-4-U healthcare-on-demand web-based service provides 24/7 access to doctors and nurse practitioners who can deliver expert analysis and practical instruction on how best to deal with a health concern. With this easy-to-navigate web/phone service, patients won’t be forced to leave work, remove kids from school, cut short a weekend or vacation, or wait for hours in an Urgent Care to get quality, physician-directed healthcare services.

With just a click or call, a patientmember is connected to an MD or NP licensed to practice in the patient’s state and experienced in family practice and emergency medicine. The medical professional is able to quickly and conveniently assess the patient’s symptoms through interview and/or via the patient’s computer or phone video screen and, when warranted, prescribe medication for the patient to pick up at a designated pharmacy.

“The simple fact is that people have had limited choices for treatment of their general and urgent injuries and illnesses,” says EZ-4-U CEO, Dr. Kelly Cox.

“They’re forced to call for an appointment that fits in their primary physician’s hectic 9-5 schedule, or go to a busy Urgent Care or ER department and wait. Not only do they feel ill, but now they’re trapped in a room full of sick people filling out insurance forms and paying a lot of money for what often ends up being something not that serious. The end result is complete disruption of the patient’s life. This is an unacceptable approach to healthcare.”

This inefficiency in American healthcare is what inspired the EZ-4-U team, which is composed of medical and IT professionals, to create the service. The virtual urgent care environment provides immediate, real-time access to a provider within the comfort, convenience and security of a patient’s home, office or other remote location, and works to help treat a host of adult and pediatric health concerns, including cold, flu and other viruses, allergies, minor burns, infections, various injuries and wounds, joint problems, rashes, insect bites, and prescription refills.

The service even offers access to wellness coaches to assist with programs such as weight loss, smoking cessation, diabetic diet services, and much more.
