4 killed in Mumbai building crash

Four women were killed and five persons injured when a three-storied building collapsed in suburban Khar in Mumbai following heavy rains on Friday night.

Two to three persons are still feared trapped and heavy rains are hampering rescue operations.

The 40-year-old building, ‘Pushpanjali’, collapsed shortly after 10 pm on Friday night. The building also housed a chartered accountant’s office, fire brigade sources said.

Six people were rescued from the crash site on Friday and taken to a nearby hospital.
