BT Global Services awards telent frame contract for Enterprise voice field maintenance services

telent, the technology services company, has been chosen by BT Global Services as one of two preferred suppliers for the provision of maintenance and engineering services within their enterprise voice services portfolio.

The three-year framework contract provides telent with the opportunity to supply a range of assurance and professional services for BT Global Services and their customers, across large and often complex multi-vendor estates. These networks range from small PBX switches through to large unified communications platforms and call centre applications.

“We are very pleased to be working with telent on this contract, which will provide us with a vehicle upon which to procure and broaden our range of assurance services,” comments Lucy Godfrey, General Manager Portfolio Commercial Strategy, of BT Global Services.

“This framework deal will enable us to broaden further our opportunities across the UK voice market, increasing our ability to respond to business opportunities around emerging technologies.”

Commenting on the contract, Steve Faucherand, Managing Director Network Services at telent said “telent has worked with BT Global Services for many years delivering a range of maintenance, support and systems integration services. The selection of telent for this contract is due to our broad-range of service expertise, along with our ability to work independently across major equipment suppliers.”

With annual revenues of over £350 million, telent has decades of experience in supplying a broad range of network and communications services in the UK and Germany. Today, the privately-held company employs over 2,500 people and has one of the largest engineering field forces in the UK. Customers include: Airwave, BT, Deutsche Bahn, EADS, Merseyside Fire & Rescue, the Metropolitan Police, National Express, Network Rail, Stagecoach, Tube Lines, and the UK Highways Agency.
