This year’s TM Forum Live! catalyst program proved to be a great success for Infonova and BearingPoint – not only participating in three catalyst projects, but also walking away with the prestigious awards, ‘Most Innovative Catalyst’ and ‘Greatest Adoption of TM Forum Assets’, for two of the three.
The catalyst, ‘Smart city: Service level management for smart city ecosystems & trusted IoT’ won ‘Most Innovative Catalyst’ (Commercial in Smart X). This catalyst builds on the existing smart city use-cases of Milton Keynes’ Data Hub to provide trusted IoT, demonstrating new SLA-centred Data Hub capabilities to guarantee service level and data quality, along with consistent accessibility and security. Championed by BT, NRECA and Open University, the catalyst solution is a collaboration between Infonova and BearingPoint, Cloudsoft and Huawei, and is the third stage of an already operational catalyst.
The ‘Greatest Adoption of TM Forum Assets’ award was won by the catalyst, ‘DigiCOPLife: Smart life: My city, my home, my planet’. This catalyst demonstrates the foundation for an agile IoT ecosystem, where on one side, end-customers can easily consume smart city services, and on the other, operators can easily monetize them. Different vertical domains can be interconnected in a seamless service bundle for a direct impact on carbon footprint, showing not only what is being spent, but what can be saved and how. This catalyst is a collaboration between champion, Orange, and participants, Infonova and BearingPoint, BaseN, Esri and NTS.
Infonova R6 plays a central role in both winning catalysts, demonstrating its powerful ecosystem management and monetization capabilities. The Digital Economy has introduced complex scenarios where multiple suppliers and partners collaborate in bi-directional, multi-level revenue chains in various B2B2x business models. The Infonova R6 principles of Partner, Orchestrate, Monetize and Grow, empower businesses to take advantage of the opportunities that the Digital Economy is providing.
Andreas Polz, CTO Infonova, who is heavily involved in the TM Forum catalyst projects, said: “It is a great honour to be part of an award-winning team for not just one, but two catalysts this year at TM Forum Live! These catalysts highlight the capabilities of Infonova R6 in a smart, digital world and show how relevant Infonova R6 is in the digital age for companies ready to connect and collaborate with other players to facilitate growth, competitive advantage and customer satisfaction.”
