At the end of 2012 the Brussels Region declared D-Sight “The most innovative young company in Brussels.” Now the start-up has raised over one million Euros in investment.
The capital will be used to continue the company’s development of its cloud-based decision-making platform and to further its penetration of the European market, focusing on the UK and France.
D-Sight’s investors include the venture capital fund Internet Attitude, The Brussels Institute for Research and Innovation (Innoviris) and BruStart – SRIB, the Brussels Region and Fonds de Participation. The success of D-Sight’s round A funding campaign indicates institutional investors’ increasing interest in tools to support data-driven decision-making. Indeed D-Sight’s innovative solutions have generated a surge in market attention both within Europe and beyond.
D-Sight’s general decision-support tool is used globally by organisations including UNESCO and the World Trade Organization. Now D-Sight has begun to specialise too. Taking a more customised business approach, the young company has created specific decision-making and analysis software. They have launched a sourcing tool to support supplier selection and a portfolio optimiser to automatically propose the best set of projects.
While the US and Canada have traditionally been a few steps ahead when it comes to data-driven decision-making, D-Sight is convinced that the tide is now turning in Europe as well. “We feel the mindset close to home has also shifted towards formalised, multi-criteria decision structures“ said D-Sight’s CEO Quantin Hayez. “This is why we turn our focus specifically to the UK and France. We firmly believe that we can indeed help the transition towards better data-driven decisions within both public and private companies”.
D-Sight specialises in decision-support solutions and currently serves more than 70 customers in over 45 countries. The company develops innovative business solutions, designed to meet the needs of large corporations in both the private and public sectors. For more information go to: http://www.d-sight.com.
