ANKO Food Machine: Dumplings, Empanadas, Samosas—Made by One Machine

From dumplings, pierogi and empanadas to kibbeh and samosas, the future of filled food production is arriving to Europe—automated, scalable, and sustainable. Taiwan-based ANKO Food Machine Co., Ltd., a global leader in food processing equipment, has officially launched its European Experience Center in Ridderkerk, a town neighboring Rotterdam.

The new 1,550 m² facility offers much more than a showroom. Housed in a revitalized historic Dutch pastry and baking factory, it has been fully upgraded to meet A+++++ EU energy standards and is powered by 184 rooftop solar panels. It reflects ANKO’s commitment to sustainability, smart manufacturing, and global localization.

One Machine, Multiple Global Food Solutions

With over 46 years of experience and clients in 114+ countries, ANKO’s machines are designed to handle a vast variety of filled foods from around the world—including:

– Asian favorites: soup dumplings (xiao long bao), spring rolls, shumai, barbecued buns, and mochis
– Middle Eastern & South Asian staples: kibbeh, falafel, sambusak, and samosas
– Latin American icons: burritos, tortillas, and empanadas
– Global snacks & desserts: filled cookies, encrusted sweets, and meatballs

Machines like the HLT-700U (https://anko.link/7wn5b5) and the SD-97 (https://anko.link/7xmdc5) series offer food manufacturers the flexibility to switch between formats and fillings—cutting changeover time, improving consistency, and reducing manual labor dependency.

To stay aligned with customer needs and evolving food trends, one-quarter of ANKO’s Taiwan-based team consists of R&D engineers.

“We design with versatility in mind,” said Vincent Tsai, General Manager of ANKO Food Tech B.V. “Our goal is to help manufacturers scale traditional recipes into industrial formats—without compromising taste or authenticity.”

Built for the European Market

This new Experience Center acts as a one-stop hub for food producers across Europe. Key services include:

– Live equipment demonstrations and trial production
– Recipe testing and process consultation
– Local spare parts and after-sales support
– Operator training and technical education

Its location in the Netherlands—home to major food logistics routes—strengthens ANKO’s three-continent network across Asia, the Americas, and now Europe.

“We’re empowering local producers to test, customize, and implement automation with confidence,” said Richard Ouyang, CEO of ANKO Group. “Our machines may come from Taiwan, but their applications are truly global.”
