After taking home three World Travel Awards for Asia and Australasia in October 2016, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort has again been honored by the World Travel Awards (WTA) as the World’s Leading Luxury Resort at the grand final gala ceremony held in The Maldives. This is the third consecutive year the resort has been honored with this very prestigious award.

The red carpet was once again rolled out on the 2nd December 2016 to welcome the industry’s elite, including the world’s top hoteliers and leading decision-makers who attended the event, heralded and described as the industry’s equivalent to The Oscar’s by the Wall Street Journal.
Already crowned by the WTA in 2014 and 2015 as the World’s Leading Luxury Resort, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort continues to receive the accolade from the WTA organisation for 2016 and emerged once again as the winner in this category after achieving the highest number of votes given by the travel professionals and industry players from around the world, surpassing the other nominees in the same category.
