On September 11, 2013, legendary Somali educator, Prof. Suleiman Ahmed Guled, arrives in Dallas to kick off a lecture tour of cities in the United States with the major Somali Diaspora communities, including Houston TX, Atlanta GA, Denver CO, Boston MA, Washington D.C., Columbus OH, and Minneapolis MN.
Prof. Suleiman, founding President of Amoud University, the first university established after the devastating Somalia civil war, will speak at a Somali community gathering on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the DFW Airport Hotel, 4440 W. Airport Frwy. in Irving, from 2:00pm-5:00pm.

Since that quote, Prof. Suleiman has graduated hundreds of students, many of whom are now working across the Somali territories of the Horn of Africa.
Amoud Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit based in Irving, TX, has been working in the Horn of Africa in Education, Healthcare, and Development for the past 15 years.
