Paws for thought as Blue Pelican Café hands out free “doggycinos”

On International Animal Rights Day South Wales’ dog lovers wishing to enjoy delicious fare, without leaving their four pawed friends behind, are in luck.

HamptonsHamptons in Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan, are delighted to announce that they have added another table to its Blue Pelican Café’s newly dedicated “Doggie Dining” section.

Hamptons (www.hamptons-design.co.uk) specially allocated “Doggie Dining” tables are reserved for dog owners and their pets and are situated just outside the regular dining section of the Blue Pelican Café.

Georgie and Millie, the Hamptons Westies, are thrilled that their canine compatriots will enjoy a mouth watering “doggyccino”, compliments of the house, at the same time that their humans enjoy their own tasty treats.

Peter Knowles, proprietor, commented “We’re thrilled to be hitting the spot for our four pawed demographic. We’ve had such positive comments from our customers who are thrilled to be able to enjoy their refreshments while sitting inside with their pets in comfortable surroundings. That we’ve found it necessary to add another dedicated table is proof positive that there aren’t enough places for dog lovers to take their four legged friends without feeling like second class citizens.”

The Hamptons Store is six and a half thousand square feet of exquisite products from china, lighting and soft furnishing to bespoke furniture. The store is the perfect place to be inspired by high quality design led products. Hamptons also offers an exclusive interior, garden and event design service.

The store is also home to the Blue Pelican Café; the perfect place to meet friends for breakfast, lunch, Sunday roasts or afternoon tea. Dedicated “Doggie Dining” tables are now available, with free “doggyccino” for each canine guest.

Regular features in the Hamptons calendar are the increasingly popular music and dinner events. Several evenings each month the café is transformed from its relaxed, tropical island feel to a music venue with candlelight, great live music and fabulous five course dinners. These events comprise a variety of musical themes from cocktail jazz and opera to Broadway and Motown.

The store is open: 9am – 5pm Monday to Saturday and 9am – 4pm Sunday
The live music and dinner events take place at 7.30pm on selected dates, booking is essential.
