Three Assam Rifles personnel are facing allegation of forcing to strip naked, dance and sodomising a man in the Indo – Myanmar border town of Moreh. The victim also complaint of giving electric shock after the incident.
This happens on January 16 evening at around 3.30 pm (IST) after the victim, N. Chaoba Singh was arrested from the Brodway Hotel. The only reason why he has been tortured by the 24th Assam Rifles perseonnels was N.Chaoba could not supply women to the coming security forces.
A joint protest was held by six different organisations. A memorandum will also be submitted to the Governor of Manipur, Dr SS Sidhu. Such incidents had been happening in the Indian state Manipur by security personnels in the name of counter insurgencies.
