Entertainment Intelligence (Ei), the leading independent music industry data and analytics company, today announced a highly sophisticated playlist tracking app designed to help rightsholders fully understand the impact of playlists and streaming consumption on their artist releases.
Ei has been quietly working on a suite of B2B music and entertainment applications, including catalogue and campaign management; social and sales reporting and analytics; and playlist tracking. The company is working directly with record labels, music publishers, booking agents and management companies to craft the ultimate tools the music industry needs to solve the challenge of refining data to create actionable intelligence.
“In a crowded field, Entertainment Intelligence threads the difficult needle of convenience and flexibility without compromising their robust analytics. We’re excited to be working with the team at Ei as they develop their app.” – Ben Swanson, Co-Founder, Secretly Group
Ei’s proprietary playlist tracking app is live with selected clients in closed-beta and available to rightsholders as a stand-alone service, or as part of a suite of tools that can be integrated with a clients’ existing systems. The playlist app allows unprecedented insight into consumer behaviour, and the impact of playlist inclusion, with a significant level of granular data.
“We’re building tools that will take your data, clean it and present it in a way that allows all stakeholders in the artist ecosystem to make informed decisions. At Ei we understand the actionable insights people need.” said Sammy Andrews, director of Entertainment Intelligence and a leading voice in the digital landscape of the music industry.
Ei has crafted a playlist app that provides rightsholders a clear picture of the performance of their tracks, broken down by vendor (such as Spotify and Apple Music), curator, followers, territory, device and listener demographics. This empowers clients to modify their playlist strategy to optimise marketing spend.
Andrews continued, “I am very proud of what Ei is taking to market. We look forward to working with many more labels, artists and managers who want to understand their playlisting landscape, as well as working with the rest of the industry on some amazing tools we have in development. There are some very exciting things in the pipeline here at Ei and we look forward to sharing those in more detail soon.”
Entertainment Intelligence’s board of directors includes Greg Delaney, Erik Gilbert and Sammy Andrews. Together they bring a wide range of music industry knowledge from all sectors including live, label, publishing, management, technology and digital.
