Belgische Technologische Startup Haalt Een Miljoen Euro Op En Lonkt Naar De Europese Markt

Op het einde van 2012 verkoos de regio Brussel D-Sight als “Meest Innovatief Jong Bedrijf in Brussel”. Intussen heeft de startup meer dan een million euro fondsen gewerfd.

Dit kapitaal zal gebruikt worden om de ontwikkeling van het besluitvormingsplatform in de cloud verder te zetten en om zich te lanceren op de Europese markt. De focus ligt hierbij op Frankijk en het Verenigd Koninkrijk.

D-Sight’s investeerders zijn onder andere het private equity fonds Internet Attitude, het Brussels Instituut voor onderzoek en innovatie (Innoviris), BruStart – G.i.m.b. en het Participatiefonds . Het succes van hun eerste ronde financieringscampagne duidt op een groeiende belangstelling van institutionele investeerders in toepassingen om besluitvorming op een datagedreven manier aan te pakken. De startup ziet dan ook een toename van de interesse in zijn producten, zowel binnen als buiten Europa.

D-Sight’s standaard besluitvormingstool wordt op wereldwijde schaal gebruikt door organisaties zoals UNESCO en de Wereldhandelsorganisatie. Nu brengt de jonge onderneming ook gespecialiseerde toepassingen op de markt. Zo lanceerden zij een sourcing oplossing om leveranciersselectie processen te ondersteunen en een project prioritiseringstool die automatisch de optimale set van projecten voorstelt.

Terwijl de VS en Canada traditioneel enkele stappen vooruit zijn betreffende datagedreven besluitvorming, is D-Sight overtuigd dat het tij ook in Europa keert. “De mindset dichter bij huis evolueert nu ook in de richting van beter geformaliseerde beslissingsstructuren.” zegt D-Sight’s CEO Quantin Hayez. “Daarom richten wij ons nu specifiek op het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Frankrijk. Wij zijn ervan overtuigd dat we bedrijven kunnen ondersteunen bij de overstap naar betere, datagedreven beslissingen.”

D-Sight specialiseert zich in tools die de besluitvorming ondersteunen en is momenteel actief in meer dan vijfenveertig landen.
