Richard Mille is delighted to announce the decisive and moving victory of his friend and partner Rafael Nadal at the Indian Wells (California) Masters 1000 last Sunday. This tournament featured 49 out of the 50 best players in the world.
Rafael Nadal, who has been off the court for several months due to a long-term knee injury, defeated the Argentinean Juan Martin Del Potro 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 and confirmed his successful return. It was his first hard court tournament victory since 2010.
Nadal wins his 22nd title in ATP Masters, his 3rd at Indian Wells following previous victories in 2007 and 2009. It is also his 53rd title in ATP and his 3rd title since the beginning of the year in four finals.
His next tournament will be at Monte Carlo and Rafael Nadal is aiming for his 9th consecutive title on a clay court. He will also be wearing once again his RM 27-01 which he was unable to play with at Indian Wells due to damage incurred during the tournament. It is always a potential risk that these exceptional pieces suffer some damage under the rigors of competition as all Richard Mille partners wear them during their toughest performances. It is an ideal way for Richard Mille to test them under extreme conditions and to constantly improve on their performance.
