Square Mile magazine announces its first style issue in partnership with London Fashion Weekend

Square Mile magazine, the luxury lifestyle monthly for affluent City executives, is launching its first Style Issue in February.

Square Mile Style IssueThe monthly glossy already covers a broad range of topics – from financial affairs to alternative investments; from fine wine to fast cars – but this marks a definite move into the fashion arena.

“There’s a lot of pressure to look good in the City, from the trading floor to the boardroom,” explains Square Mile editor Mark Hedley. “It’s not about showing off, necessarily; it’s more about looking the part. People won’t take you seriously unless you’re dressed seriously. And when you’re dealing with money – whether it’s making it or looking after it – this is crucial.”

In celebration of the debut Style Issue, Square Mile is also an official partner of London Fashion Weekend (21-24 Feb) and will be hosting an exclusive VIP evening in conjunction with the event on the opening day at Tom’s at Somerset House.

Contributors to the style issue will include fashion guru Jeremy Langmead, fashion fanatic Josh Sims and watch expert Robin Swithinbank.

One of the main features will cover the evolving taste in men’s fashion in the City from the yuppie era to the present day. Female fashion editor Loren Penney exclusively interviews British fashion designer Maria Grachvogel, who shows every season at London Fashion Week, as part of Exposure.

Like every edition of Square Mile, the Style Issue will be available in print and on iPad.

Having increased its print run during 2012, Square Mile now prints 52,000 copies every month and is distributed by both post and hand to subscribers and from various distribution points throughout the City.

Square Mile has been published for seven and a half years. Its iPad edition – a fully interactive App with App-specific content and design – launched this summer. Square Mile is produced by Square Up Media, a luxury media house. Square Mile’s sister title, Hedge, is the number one lifestyle quarterly for the Mayfair hedge fund community.
