Splendia Wins Prestigious Travel d’Or Award for Best Hotel Booking Brand 2011

Global luxury hotels company, Splendia is proud to have won the award for Best Hotel Booking Brand 2011 at the French hospitality industry’s version of the Oscars, Les Travel d’Or.

Splendia co-founder, Elie de Coignac, picked up the award at the ceremony in Paris last Thursday 17th March commenting:

“We’re extremely proud to have won this award. We’re constantly working to ensure we provide our customers with the very best service and this award shows we’re going in the right direction. Thank you to everyone who voted for us and for the continued support from our loyal customers.”

More than 38,000 internet users took part in the voting, with a jury of media and website experts to validate the winners. Each website was judged on: overall impression, legibility, ease of search and navigation, response time and richness of content. From the 230 websites on the starting blocks, only 15 made it across the finishing line – to be distinguished with a trophy at the awards ceremony.

Frédéric Vanhoutte, CEO of Eventiz who organise the Travel d’Or awards explained:

“Splendia’s performance is exceptional. Splendia has quality, targeted content that is totally in line with the expectations of today’s internet users.”

Splendia (www.splendia.com) is the global leader in online bookings for Luxury & Character Hotels. The first totally independent travel awards in France, the “Travel d’Or”, created in 2009 by Frédéric Vanhoutte, are designed to reward websites, popular among internet users, who stand out from the crowd.
