ECO - low income homes tend to be eligible for support with heating and insulation through the energy company obligation. ECO began in 2013 and has been divided into 3 sections -

Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO)

Under such obligation, energy companies such as Firstcall Home Assist provide insulation and central heating upgrades to low income households (private rented or owners). The scheme is income based and evidence of benefits are critical for eligibility.

Carbon Emissions Reduction Obligation (CERO)

Carbon Saving Communities Obligation (CSCO)

Aimed at people living in the poorest and most rural areas by income. Such obligation supports households in tenures.
