The recent opening of the roof-top Birreria at “Eataly”– the enormously successful mecca of authentic Italian food – marked the latest presence of Lavazza with the Batali-Bastianich Hospitality Group. The relationship started with the Café at “Eataly”, to continue with the choice of Lavazza espresso and coffee for some of the Group’s renowned venues: Del Posto, Esca, Bar Jamon, Manzo (at “Eataly”) and Casa Mono in New York City; Tarry Lodge and Tarry Market in Port Chester, NY; and the soon to open Tarry Lodge Enoteca Pizzeria, in Westport, CT.

Patrons in those fine dining establishments can now enjoy the flavor and aroma of Lavazza’s best selection: Top Class, a full bodied, bold espresso with hints of chocolate; Gran Riserva, one of Lavazza’s finest blend; Tierra, the Rainforest Alliance certified 100% Arabica blend; Rotondo, a 100% Arabica with an intense flavor and persistent crema and the Gran Filtro coffee, one of America’s favorite Italian classic.

“We are thrilled that the very entrepreneurs who redefined Italian cuisine in the United States, and are committed to authenticity and superb quality for their customers have now chosen Lavazza for their restaurants”, said Ennio Ranaboldo, CEO of Lavazza North America.

“Lavazza is the perfect coffee to end a perfect meal”, stated Joe Bastianich.

Mario Batali, Joe Bastianich and Lidia Matticchio Bastianich are the distinctive forces behind an eclectic group of critically acclaimed, unanimously adored restaurants: Babbo Ristorante & Enoteca, Bar Jamón, Casa Mono, Del Posto, Esca, Felidia, Becco, Lupa Osteria Romana, Otto Enoteca & Pizzeria and Tarry Lodge in New York; B&B Ristorante, Carnevino, and Enoteca San Marco in Las Vegas; Pizzeria Mozza and Osteria Mozza in Los Angeles.

Lavazza (www.lavazza.com), founded in Turin, Italy, in 1895, has been family-owned and managed for four generations. Today, Lavazza (Facebook) is not only Italy’s favorite coffee and the sixth largest roaster in the world, but a global provider of coffee products and single-serve espresso equipment for the professional and consumer markets. Lavazza Premium Coffees Corp., the North-American subsidiary, is based in New York City.
