In 2010, Richard Mille partnered, as a main sponsor, the first edition of The Voiles de Saint Barth, a prestigious nautical rendez-vous in the Caribbean.
The success of this first edition brings Richard Mille to naturally follow suit with a second edition, scheduled from 4th to the 9th April 2011.
Some 23 crews and over two-hundred sailors were entered in the 2010 edition, unanimously recognized for its exceptional navigating conditions and the beauty of the courses held by the Organization.
The second edition will once again gather over five days some of the most beautiful yachts in the world, all competing in a breathtaking regatta around Saint Barthelemy’s Island. It is already a repeated success outlined through some 30 sailing boats already pre-registered within 5 invited classes: Super-Maxi Yacht, Racing, Racing / Cruising, Classic and Multihulls.
Among the headlines, title holder, the American George David, will align his new purchase “Rambler 100” in the Super Maxi category, whereas Jim Swartz will be aboard his TP 52 World Champion “Quantum Racing”, in the Racing category. Patron to the event, the photographer Patrick Demarchellier, will also return on board his Swan 45 Puffy.
Richard Mille has been present in the nautical world for several years, especially through the diver’s watches RM 025 tourbillon, RM 028 automatic and RM 028 Voiles de Saint Barth, a limited edition, especially created for the regatta. The brand is pleased to associate its name once again through this important gathering of the most beautiful yachts, which has now become an occasion for the most famous skippers to attend.
