Azcuris Co., Ltd. announced that it has entered into a research collaboration agreement with AstraZeneca, a leading global biopharmaceutical company, to discover innovative therapies for respiratory and Th2-driven diseases. The collaboration was announced at the NOVA Global Connect 2026 event held in San Diego, California.
Under the agreement, Azcuris and AstraZeneca will collaborate on a drug discovery program against targets being pursued by Azcuris. For candidate compounds arising from the collaboration, AstraZeneca has the option to obtain an exclusive license for their further development and commercialization.
The collaboration brings together AstraZeneca’s global drug development expertise and Azcuris’ proprietary drug discovery capabilities, with the goal of advancing novel treatments for patients living with respiratory disease.
The collaboration was formally announced by Dr. Young Ho Jeon, Chief Executive Officer of Azcuris, in the presence of Dr. Nikhil Mutyal and colleagues from AstraZeneca’s External Innovation and Partnerships team.
