The ASB GlassFloor, which was used for the first time at the season opener last year, will now be permanently installed. The installation has begun, and initial training sessions are already taking place on the court. The necessary official approval will follow. The glass surface of the court, along with the millions of LEDs embedded beneath it, makes the floor unique. FC Bayern Basketball, as the anchor tenant of BMW Park, is not purchasing the ASB GlassFloor exclusively for Bundesliga use. The plan is to use the floor for a variety of events, including roller skating discos, cycling schools, music events and children’s programmes. This will enrich Munich with a versatile and attractive event location.
