Focusing on function and aesthetic, ANUKA will showcase its first children’s collection at the Maison&Objet Paris trade fair from January 20 through 24, 2017.
Launched in 2016, ANUKA (www.anukakid.com)offers clean and harmonious design as it strongly believes in simplicity, that less is more. Merging this functionality of design with charm, the items are playful and engaging, transforming a child’s room into a place full of dreams and ideas, creating the perfect setting for story-telling, play-writing and art-making.
ANUKA has a deep respect for nature and uses natural fabrics only. All materials are extremely durable and perfect for the eco-conscious parent. The products are made to last, designed to be loved and used every day. The brand works with an ethically and environmentally conscious manufacturer in Hungary and supervises all aspects of the production process, from conception to execution.
At the show, you will have the chance to see two of its best-selling pieces: the soft and cozy cube chairs with timeless harmony and the fun and fresh poufs with pops of colour. Both items are high quality, light weight and incredibly practical, suitable for children aged one to six. The brand will also introduce a range of soft furnishings, rugs and swings.
On her inspiration for the collection, Founder and Creative Director, Andrea Ovari says: “It is very much inspired by the simplicity and honesty of nature which is reflected throughout the pieces. With a pinch of humour, a bit of adventure and a soothing colour palette (with some stand-out brights) a stylish and characteristic collection came to life which I am extremely proud of.”
ANUKA is a Hungarian brand based in Budapest who design, manufacture and sell smart, fun and imaginative soft furnishings for children. It believes that a child’s space is integral to their development and hopes to make this fundamental time in a child’s life one in which they are surrounded by items that are comforting yet stimulating in a place where they can create and explore.
“Childhood is a world in itself. A teeming, inspiring and ever-changing world: decoration, furniture, fabrics and object designers come together to showcase their creativity and imagination for the little design princes and princesses in our lives.”
