Delice de France Launches Coup de Pates with ‘Savoir-faire’

Award-winning Delice de France UK, recognised as the leading specialists in Bakery, announces the launch of their sister brand Coup de Pates; who for 23 years have been the market leader in supporting Catering Professionals in France.

The new partnership begins with the launch of its dual-branded Autumn/Winter catalogue – providing the UK foodservice and retail markets hitherto unseen quality, choice and variety.

Managing Director, Thierry Cacaly said, “My promise and commitment to all our customers, suppliers and staff is to deliver the same passion, authenticity and innovation that our French Founder, Philippe Signolet built our foundations upon; with the introduction of our sister brand, Coup de Pates, into the UK market we continue to deliver Savoir-faire to our customers!

The new partnership provides a wide range of the finest traditional French bakery products being launched in the UK; all having been developed by Coup de Pate’s team of fifteen dedicated Chefs in their state of the art development kitchens in Paris.

Consumer love affair with French Indulgence!

As French sweet treats such as macaroons, Caramel Salé (Salted Caramel) and croissants gain more popularity with consumers, Delice de France have leveraged this demand by launching a range of French inspired Coup de Pates patisserie. From a Paris Brest (a dessert first created in the 1890s to commemorate the Paris to Brest bicycle race) to the new range of traditional Millefeuille. One of the new Millefeuilles has been inspired by the latest flavour craze of Salted Caramel and has a rich salted caramel crème pâtissière through the layers, topped with a salted caramel fondant icing.

Staying on trend, and following the hype earlier in the year of the French Éclair being the ‘new Cupcake’, Delice de France have seen their classic Chocolate Éclair see a double digit growth in demand from customers. Noticing this growth in Éclairs, they have launched a new super indulgent variant which is a Chocolate & Hazelnut version finished with a white Chocolate disc.

Speciality Breads

Latest Kantar Worldpanel data shows that Speciality Bread is in growth 28% year on year. What’s driving this? Well, more consumers are buying into the category, and when they do they are buying more and more often! The team at Delice de France believes this is an indication that these exciting breads are no longer just breads ‘for the weekend’ but in fact are becoming the norm in UK households. With programmes like the “Great British Bake Off”, consumers are more knowledgeable about what makes good breads and are, as a result, demanding more exciting flavours.

Delice de France has launched a range of over 25 new Gourmet sandwich rolls and loaves with a host of different inclusions and toppings. From the 33% rye and caraway in the Millers Bread, the six different grains in the Pain Six Grains or the brick red hue of the Sundried Tomato Loaf, there is a shape or flavour to suit any bread basket!
