Richard Mille and Dominique Guenat, the president and director of Horométrie S.A respectively, were the recipients of the Innovation and Excellence Award from the government of the Republic and Canton of Jura for the RM 027 tourbillon watch Rafael Nadal.

They were presented with the award by the vice-president of the Government, Elisabeth Baume-Schneider, and the Minister of the Department of Economy and Cooperation, Michel Probst, at a ceremony that took place on 2 November at the offices of the company Horométrie in Les Breuleux.

The Jura government said it ‘fell in love with this Richard Mille mechanical watch, which is the lightest watch ever created with a tourbillon movement, and combines technological with aesthetic qualities’. The Jura government added that ‘Richard Mille watches have revolutionised the watchmaking industry and are one of the greatest ambassadors for the Jura in the world’.

Richard Mille and Dominique Guenat were very honoured to accept this prize, which rewards the work of the whole team. In fact, the RM 027 tourbillon took several years of research and development, and great technical feats before winning the greatest international championships on Rafael Nadal’s wrist.
