Mrs Justice Parker has committed Scot Young to a suspended six-month prison sentence for failure to provide financial disclosure.

He is to provide outstanding information, including details of what he says has happened to what on his wife’s evidence are several hundreds of million pounds, by 7 September and the case will be heard again on 28 September.

Mrs Young is represented by Ayesha Vardag of Ayesha Vardag Solicitors and Richard Todd QC, the team also acting on behalf of Katrin Radmacher in the pivotal case on pre-nuptial agreements in the Court of Appeal.

Ayesha and Mrs Young cannot comment directly about the case because proceedings are ongoing.

However, Ayesha confirms that, as was made clear in court, Michelle Young has no desire to see her husband go to prison.

She simply wants him to provide the court with the information it has ordered of him so that their case may be conducted properly and fairly.
