Sculptors for the world famous Madame Tussauds are working flat out to create more than 70 wax figures ready for the opening of the company’s Vienna attraction in Prater Park now scheduled for March 2011.

Recruiting for staff for the attraction including the ‘frontline’operational team, and even ‘beauticians’ to take daily care of the figures on site has already begun; and a newly appointed General Manager will arrive in Vienna very shortly to oversee the final preparations.

The final list of figures has now been decided and there will also be someone to interest everyone, including several ‘new’ figures never seen before at Madame Tussauds. Vienna is the home of Freud, Einstein, Mozart, Hayden and Strauss, and these historic Austrian figures, together with contemporary heroes like California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, racing driver Niki Lauda and pop sensation Falco, will be featured alongside international starts as diverse as President Obama and Brad Pitt.

With no bars, ropes or barriers around the figures visitors have no problem believing that they really are standing beside, or even ‘acting/competing’ with their heroes in some of the exciting interactive parts of the attraction which have become such a popular part of what Madame Tussauds Vienna will offer.

Photos give a sneak preview of just some of the figures visitors to Madame Tussauds, Vienna will be able to see; Albert Einstein; footballer David Beckham, A list movie star Nicole Kidman and US President Barack Obama.
