Alexis Pinturault, aged just 22, is the latest member to join the Richard Mille family. The young skier won his first victory this season in the 2014 World Cup last Sunday, 19th January in Wengen, Switzerland and is currently placed 3rd for the Crystal Globe.

The French-Norwegian skier revealed his potential very early on by winning the Giant Slalom Junior Champion at just 18 years old in 2009 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany, thus becoming one of the most promising skiing talents in France. In 2011, Alexis went on to become the winner of the European Cup. In 2013, he finished 6th on 3 occasions and 5th once at the World Cup in Schladming, Austria. With a total of 5 victories and 18 podiums to his name, Alexis Pinturault asserts his natural competitive spirit with a clear objective to become one of the best skiers in the world.

Richard Mille was quickly seduced by this young and promising talent who has shown great flexibility, capable of competing in all 5 disciplines of alpine skiing (from slalom to downhill). He relishes taking on the big names in the sport through his unique attacking style and has proved to be one of France’s great skiing hopes for the future.

Alexis Pinturault will take on the most challenging slopes in the world wearing a Richard Mille watch. Alpine skiing becomes the latest real world laboratory for the brand and its team of designers who relish new challenges. New products will undergo testing through punishing and extreme conditions, altitude and temperature variations. Alpine skiing is an extreme sport in which the skiers take great risks with high speeds and sudden turns while never hesitating to smash the gates to gain a few hundreths of a second.

Alexis is relishing this new partnership and being able to play a role in the development of a watch capable of accompanying him down the most famous and challenging slopes like Beaver Creak, Val d’Isere, Wengen, Kitzbuehel etc.
