Eddie VedderSeattle grunge legends play a special one-off fan show at London's Wembley Arena...

Pearl Jam took to the stage at Wembley Arena last night to be greeted as heroes by a full house.

The setlist of nearly 30 songs spanned all eight studio albums - with an emphasis on Yield - and a rare performance of Crazy Mary, which had never been played in Europe before.

The band neglected most of their major hits to play a fan show, adding other rarities including 'I got ID', 'State of Love and Trust' and 'Down'.

Frontman Eddie Vedder took time out of the show to talk about the departure of British Prime Minister Tony Blair the War in Iraq and an army friend who had returned recently without his limbs.

He played an acoustic solo song, 'No War', before being rejoined by the band.

Later he talked about the band's appreciation of the welcome they had received last year at the Leeds and Reading festivals - their first festival appearances since nine fans died in a crush at Roskilde in Denmark in 2000.

The band went over their time slot and played three more songs after organisers turned the lights on, including Neil Young's Rockin' in the Free World and Indifference.

Full setlist:

Long Road, Severed Hand, Grievance, Comatose, Given To Fly, Low Light, I Got Id, Faithful, Green Disease, Marker In The Sand, Immortality, Down, Present Tense, State Of Love And Trust, Why Go, Save You, Porch, Inside Job, Parachutes, Crazy Mary, Do The Evolution, Alive, No More, Bu$hleaguer, World Wide Suicide, Rockin' In The Free World, Indifference.
