Help with portfolio and articles needed please! - 2006/05/27 14:09
I am just starting out after graduating uni and have some articles I need to arrange in a portfolio when looking for work. Some are off the internet and some are from magazines. Should I cut the articles out of the magazines or leave them as they are? Should I put them all in plastic wallets in a ringbinder or mount them on backing paper? What is the commonly accepted way of doing it?
What is the best way to send writing samples through email through the internet when applying for journalism jobs? I've had articles published both in magazines and online. Should I copy the magazine articles into word and attach the file or how can I show my writing? Can I just send a link in the covering email to online articles? What is common practise as I've never applied for a journalism job like this before and its one I really want so want to get it right! How many samples should I send? How should I send samples if sending through the post as well?
