The Wichita Eagle - copy editor sports - 2007/12/04 00:17 The Wichita Eagle (85,000 daily, 150,000 Sunday) is looking for a
quality copy editor for its sports staff. Our section is a regular
winner in APSE writing and section contests and a top-notch desk is a
big reason. We're looking for a copy editor with strong word skills
who can strengthen not only full-timers' copy, but the gaggle of part-
timers who we use to cover high school and small-college events. This
copy editor also has to be able to put together wire roundups and
condense longer wire packages to suit our needs. Of course in sports,
a good copy editor needs to be able to work quickly, and that's no
different at The Eagle. Pagination experience is preferred, college
degree required. Send resume, references and three editing examples to
Kirk Seminoff, Wichita Eagle Sports, PO Box 820, Wichita, Kan., 67201-
0820.
