The Standard-Times, Ma - page designer - 2007/12/04 00:16 The Standard-Times, a superb daily newspaper with 30,000-plus
circulation in historic New Bedford, Massachusetts, the nation's top
fishing port, is seeking a page designer with graphic design skills
for a full-time position in the newsroom. The job will have two
distinct parts: designing lively section fronts, as well as other
pagination duties; and creating dynamic, informative and accurate
graphics, including charts, locator maps and other illustrations, for
print and the Web. A bachelor's degree in journalism, graphic design
or a related field, and/or newspaper experience is required.
Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator is essential. Copy
editing skills are a strong advantage. Send resume and three examples
