Inflated Game Systems announces the new development of the world’s largest inflatable water slide built on the same scale as water slides in major theme parks but for only a tenth of the cost and a fragment of the work.

SlideZilla the newest water slide entry by Inflated Game Systems, is set to offer hotels the opportunity to now expand into the water slide business, without the huge investment outlay, using a state of the art portable inflatable water slide, tailored for the beaches.

To increase guest satisfaction, hotels and resort hotels are expanding into the water park business. A pool does not just give the guest a reason to lodge at that resort as all hotel offer a basic pool. So to stand out from the rest of the pack, aggressive resort and hotel owners are expanding their water play offerings by installing pool side water slides and giant indoor/outdoor water slides.

image1At a 175 feet long and 45 feet high, it takes only one day to put in place, attach the blowers and it inflates in about 15 minutes and is ready to thrill families and guests alike. When done, deflate, roll up and pack away. It is expected that a SlideZilla install will help the hotelier improve their guest satisfaction factor by allowing families a fuller vacation experience with out having to leave the hotel grounds.

Peter Appleton, President and inflatable pioneer said “Due to the recent creation of highly specialized fabrics and blowers, inflatables can now basically replicate any small to medium structure where portability and cost-effectiveness is a requirement”.

Due to lower costs of purchase, install and operating, SlideZilla is set to become one of the newest additions to line the coastal beaches! The frame is built with sturdy heavy duty vinyl coated nylon materials, embedded with ultra violet inhibitors for long life in the hot sun. Installed with a double stairway, it accommodates 400 guests in per hour.

As stated in The World Hotel Water Park Construction Report, developers worldwide are under construction with 15 hotel water park resorts that are expected to open in 2010 — showing a growth of 30% compared to 11 properties opening the same period last year.

By year end 2010, there will be 205 hotels with 26,426 rooms, installing 139 million square feet of outdoor water parks and 5.1 million square feet of indoor water park space outside of North America.

Hotels with indoor water parks continue to perform better than hotels without indoor water parks — especially in a tough economy. In the 1940’s Hoteliers added swimming pools to keep guests comfortable in their stays. Hotels now and for the last 5 years have begun the process of converting their swimming pools into mini water parks and water play by adding poolside water slides, an inflatable water slide and more structured self- supporting water slides.

The hoteliers took note that as the travel market entered the down trend; families wanting to travel had to tighten the budget. Not having the funds to go for week long trips, travelers started looking for weekend trips that they could immerse themselves for 2 to 3 days as family quality time.
